First day of high school

Next year, it all begins. All training years that were so carefully built up to this. All those days of finger painting and reciting the alphabet, gone. Never to come back. They were carefully leading up to this certain day. No turning back now. It will be the first day, to the rest of my life. My first day of high school. Of course I'm nervous. Nervous that my teachers wont like me, scared I'll get lost, terrified of the well TV broad casted "Pop Quiz" that leaves everyone in the room to stare blankly at their papers until class is over. High School is different from other places. You have to be careful. Careful of what you learn and what you don't. Careful of who you hang out with, and who you don't. Careful of who you do and do not hang out with. And especially careful of what you say. Because high school and gossip is exactly like flowers and sunshine. One makes the other thrive, supplying it with what it needs to grow. I am defiantly ready to go to high school after all those past years of prep. Finally all myhard work, paying off. I'll get to meet new people, and have a new life. I'm only very extremely excited;) hehe

A Walk through Sarena's day

Darkness, blankness, Emptiness, filled my sleeping min. Love story by Taylor Swift started up for the second time this morning. I finally rolled out of me warm, comfortable bed and was struck by the crisp/cold morning air. I threw some clothes on and raced downstairs to grab some breakfast. My cat Baby was mewing at the back door. My Dad had just got a new alarm system. I cauticiously eyed the small box in the hall that I would see my dad go to turn off the alarm whnever it went off. Shurley it would say "alarm on" right? I thought to myself. Baby was now impatiently walking in between my legs and whining all around me. So I walked back to the glass sliding door and ever so slowly began to pull the handle back opening the door. I began to count the seconds before the door chimed, as it always did when someone went in or out. One...Two...Three...Four...Five....Six....Seven......Eight.... Suddenly loud screeching sliced through the silence like a knife to butter. The small box had now activated some other small boxes throughout the house and they were all screaming at the top of their lungs, like it was a contest to see who could hurt my ears the most. Yes, I was defiantly awake. First, period flew by and I did a total of fourteen problems. Then I was released to my next jail cell... I mean class. All the students streamed out of their classes racing to meet up with their "long lost" friends. As soon as he was in sight I lost all focus on my friends and smiled. But then we crossed paths and he was gone, for 47 more minutes.Second period the teacher droned on about some Test Prep. she took way too seriously. Off to third period after the bell chirped as a signal for our release. I sauntered to my third period class chattering with my friend Jon about his soon to be drivers license. Then there he was, again. He smiled first this time and I almost skipped over to be closer to him. All too quickly though goodbye came and then I was back to being trapped in a classroom
Mr. Mawson began his class as usual, talking about food. Mainly meet. Then he moved on to the topic of STAR TESTING! Du du duuuuuuuuuu. We worked on a seventh grade benchmark and surprisingly answers flooded into my open mind as soon as I read a question its answer magically appeared into my brain. I can't Hadley wait, more minutes and I'll be with him for 10. Ten precious minutes out of my day:) When I first saw him talking to Veronica my stare turned flat, jealous. Because for one minute, she had his full attention. Call me crazy that I was jealous of that, but I was. However the 10 minutes have come and gone now. He stole my cereal. Caught it in his mouth. Called me a nerd for reading so much. Then the bell rang, gave me a sweet kiss, then I was trapped in Mrs. Moorhead's class doing more Test Prep, preparing for my future, writing in Devin's pen that he was probably missing by now. ha,ha. Oh yeah and he smelled wonderful<3
As I approach the locker hall he bursts with a sudden "aha!!" and snagged the missing pen from my hands. We both fight over it until we arrive to our PE classes. We separate, and both change in our own rooms, steps from each other. I didn't have my shoes so I walked onto the grass in my flip flops in PE clothes and it felt surprisingly nice. Ashley Briscoe and I decided we were to have a nail party at Emerald Cove park on Thursday at five. FUN!:) Devin walked me to my next class <3
